Experience No 2 is a composition by the American composer John Cage. It is a piece for solo voice Cage composed 1948 to Llyrics by E. E. Cummings to accompany a dance by choreographer Merce Cunningham.
In 1976 a recording of the composition – sung by multi-instrumentalist Robert Wyatt – was published on the album Voices and Instruments, a collaboration between saxophonist Jan Steele and Cage. The record was the 5th album published on legendary label Obscure Records run by British music pioneer Brian Eno.
John Cage was an American composer and artist. His more than 250 compositions are regarded as milestones in the development of contemporary classical music, making him one of the most influential composers of the 20th century.
